Charles "Tim" Timken received a Bachelor of Arts
degree in fine art and began a 30-year career in
graphic design, illustration and art direction. As a
design professional, he received numerous national awards as he continued to pursue painting.

In 2001, Tim gave up his design/illustration profession and became a full-time gallery artist.Today, he travels the country painting on location and the studio from photographs and field sketches.

His work can be categorized as both representational and "landscape-inspired" abstraction including a variety of subject matter.

Tim’s work has been included in numerous juried shows and competitions throught the Midwest and California and is held in private collections throughout North and South America.

He is a 'Signature' member of the Pastel Society of America.
