Charles "Tim" Timken received a Bachelor of Arts
degree in fine art and began a 30-year career in
graphic design, illustration and art direction. As a
design professional, he received numberous national awards as he continued to pursue painting.

In 2001, Tim gave up his design/illustration profession and became a full-time gallery artist.Today, he travels throughout the Midwest painting on location, as well as from photographs and field sketches.

His work can be categorized as both representational and "landscape-inspired" abstraction.

Tim’s work has been included in numberous juried shows and competitions throught the Midwest and California and is held in private collections throughout North and South America.

He is a member of the Mid-America Pastel Society, the Pastel Society of New Mexico and a 'Signature' member of the Pastel Society of America.
